Hello Ambrose Bridge Campus Families,
I’m Ali with Ali Horton Photography, and I can’t wait to meet the students at Ambrose School this year.
My goal is to make school picture day feel a little different. Rather than simply moving students through a line and taking a quick snapshot, I’ll be paying attention to the little details -from natural expressions and thoughtful posing to making sure each student looks and feels their best in front of the camera.
BEFORE PICTURE DAY
What should my child wear?
Since students will be photographed in their school uniforms, there’s no need to worry about an outfit. A few simple things to keep in mind:
*Make sure uniforms are clean and wrinkle-free.
*Check collars, buttons, ties, and other uniform details before school.
*Hair should be styled as you would normally like it photographed.
*If your child wears glasses, they should absolutely wear them for their portrait.
*Keep accessories simple and school-appropriate.
Most importantly, don’t stress; my team and I will ensure everyone looks their best.
ON PICTURE DAY
Students will be photographed individually as well as with their class. I’ll guide each student through their portrait, including posing and positioning, while looking for natural expressions and those little details that make their portrait special. I want students to feel comfortable - not like they’re being rushed through a school photo line.
Class photographs will also be taken during the scheduled photo days.
AFTER PICTURE DAY.
Once your child’s portraits have been carefully edited, you’ll receive an email with a private online gallery within three weeks of picture day, where you can view their images. We guarantee 2-5 thoughtfully captured images per student. Every child is different - some students naturally feel comfortable and expressive in front of the camera, while others need a little more time to warm up. Rather than rushing or forcing expressions, I focus on capturing the best genuine moments each child gives me.

Digital files: Delivered instantly. Once your purchase is complete, download instructions are sent directly to your email so you can enjoy and share your child’s portraits right away.
Prints & tangible products: Delivered to your school within three weeks of the gallery closing. The school will then send orders home with students to ensure a smooth, convenient process.

All prints and products are made by a professional photo lab, ensuring archival quality and true-to-life colors. This means your portraits will look beautiful and last for years.

A little Note From Me
School Portraits don’t have to feel stiff or rushed. As a mom and photographer, I know how meaningful these photographs become over the years. My goal is to create portraits that capture your child as they are right now - their personality, their smile, and this particular season of their childhood.
